DIRECCIÓN DE CULTURA DE CUSCO INAUGURÓ EXPOSICIÓN DEL AJUAR FUNERARIO DEL SEÑOR DE WARI DE VILCABAMBA
Desde hoy, los visitantes pueden apreciar las réplicas del ajuar funerario del Señor de Wari que se exponen en una importante muestra instalada en la Sala de Exposiciones del Parque Arqueológico de Pikillaqta, ubicada en la zona de ingreso al mencionado parque.
La “Muestra Arqueológica del Ajuar Funerario del Señor de Wari de Vilcabamba” fue implementada por el Proyecto Qhapaq Ñan para destacar la importancia de este hallazgo realizado en el Sitio Arqueológico de Espiritupampa, distrito de Vilcabamba provincia de La Convención el año 2010.
La sala de exhibición fue inaugurada el martes 9 de enero, y se exhiben las réplicas del ajuar del personaje, consistentes en un pectoral en forma de “Y”, una máscara de plata con una figura antropomorfa, brazaletes, un báculo de madera forrado de plata y un ornamento conformado por 156 láminas de plata y tres collares con piedras preciosas de turquesa, lapislázuli, entre otras.
Asimismo, se exponen copias de los materiales culturales como ceramios asociados al hallazgo como vasijas, tumis, platos ceremoniales con iconografías y códices importantes de la cultura pre Inka Wari, que se desarrolló entre los años 600 y 1,200 de nuestra era.
Al inaugurar la muestra, que además cuenta con paneles informativos, el Director de la Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco Dr. Vidal Pino Zambrano, dijo que ahora los visitantes y la población cusqueña tienen una razón más para conocer el Parque Arqueológico de Pikillaqta y apreciar parte de nuestra historia para afianzar su identidad con nuestra cultura.
Por su parte, la Coordinadora del Proyecto Qhapaq Ñan Dra. Arminda Gibaja Oviedo, hizo un llamado a la población especialmente cusqueña a que visite esta muestra arqueológica del Señor de Wari de Vilcabamba, que estará permanentemente abierta al público de lunes a domingo.
